Lets face it: when most of the talk about the division is about who's not in the division, things aren't looking good for the women in the WWE. And while there are promising talents in NXT, how long before any arrive? A.J. Lee could have stuck around waiting for valid competition to develop, and cashing in a paycheck, but at the end of the day, things aren't going to change in the division any time soon, and given she doesn't need the money, the attention, and gains a ton of freedom from stepping away, what really was the point? If you're in a situation that seems pointless, and don't really have a reason to stay, the best bet is often to walk away, which is exactly what A.J. did. And she'll be better off for it in the long run, as much as fans and the division will miss her.
