10 Reasons Conor McGregor Vs. Floyd Mayweather Is More Likely Than You Think

6. Manny Pacquiao Has Offered To Fight McGregor Instead

Keeping in mind that UFC President Dana White recently nixed this, but there's a little motivational factor at play in the whole Mayweather-McGregor fight: Manny Pacquiao.

Since Mayweather balked at White's initial offer of $25 million plus PPV points (based on what the event sells, it could be a lot more than $25 million), Manny Pacquiao has come out and said that he'd be happy to welcome McGregor to the sport of boxing.

Suddenly, eyebrows were raised higher than The Rock's.

Pacquiao isn't much of a draw himself these days, but he's still a very relevant name, and his rivalry with Mayweather means that he could easily become a bargaining chip to coax Mayweather into the fight. After all, would Mayweather want to lose out on a historic opportunity like this... and then see his biggest rival get the glory?
