10 Reasons Fans Stick With WWE Through The Worst Of Times
10. Accentuate The Positive
It can't all be bad, right? If the product was truly terrible, top to bottom, then there really would be no reason to watch. But a true fan will find that one or two things that the WWE is currently doing well and latch onto them for dear life. Dont like whats happening on the main roster these days? Have you checked out NXT lately? The literal future of the WWE, NXT offers a consistently solid product full of hungry, young competitors working at the top of their game. With recent acquisitions such as Kenta and Kevin Steen joining a group that already features standouts like Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville, this is a truly exciting time for WWEs developmental division and its now more accessible than ever thanks to that Network thing you may have heard about. The NXT specials that have already aired have arguably been as entertaining as some of the best main roster PPVs currently being offered. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JwCJmmaPkw And if NXT isnt your thing, you may find solace elsewhere. Maybe you love whats happening in the Divas division right now (stop laughing), or you think that the mid card scene is really hot and full of vibrant superstars. Heck, maybe you just like hearing the bickering of the announce team. The point is, as a fan, you will accentuate the positive.
I am a writer and stand-up comedian living in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I didn't witness the Bret Hart screw job in person, but I did watch the Breaking Point PPV live and that was terrible it its own way. I am dangerously obsessed with professional wrestling and its surrounding culture. I am the current ring announcer for a local fed called the IWS. I got to introduce Tommy Dreamer a while back. My head almost exploded. I am a mark, and proud of it. I also co-host a podcast called Go Plug Yourself, which has featured quite a few local wrestlers and even Mick Foley. Speaking of the Mickster, I once got to be his warmup act when he was in town for comiccon. My head actually exploded that time. I've recovered... sort of.
