5. Summerslam Build-Up

Raw and SmackDown each have a brand-exclusive PPV lined up for July, but fans and wrestlers themselves are already focused on the biggest party of the summer.

Roman Reigns, in his classic faux-heel fashion, announced his self-imposed inclusion in the Universal Title match at SummerSlam. Obviously things can change, as Braun Strowman was long rumoured as Lesnar's SS opponent. Perhaps Strowman will incapacitate Reigns and take his spot, perhaps Samoa Joe will even be Universal Champion by that stage.

SummerSlam is undoubtedly the biggest wrestling show outside of WrestleMania, and the build-up will be must-watch television throughout July and early August. As well as finding out who will be involved in the World Title affairs, the card will most likely feature a stacked undercard. Names like Finn Balor, Seth Rollins and AJ Styles will all be hoping for marquee positions when the WWE returns to Brooklyn.

Speaking of Brooklyn, WWE's new annual tradition involves bringing their best NXT TakeOver to serve as a prelude for SummerSlam. This year's rumoured main event is NXT Champion Bobby Roode against the returning, much-imporved Drew McIntyre.

The building of these two megashows makes summer a great time to be a WWE fan.
