10 Reasons For Wrestling Fans To Be Excited About July

6. The Pro Wrestling World Cup Continues

As I mentioned with RevPro's British J Cup, UK-based promotions are going above and beyond to solidify their place in the pro wrestling world. At the forefront of this is WCPW's Pro Wrestling World Cup.

In an unprecedented move, WCPW have aligned with the likes of NJPW and ROH to bring all of the world's best independent talent into one knockout tournament. The international feel of this event is a sign of the prosperity in global independent wrestling. Four legs have already been completed, with the remaining four to take place throughout July.

Germany (July 2nd), Japan (7th), USA (21st) and Rest of the World (22nd) each need to determine the two men who will advance to the finals to compete with the likes of Michael Elgin, Will Ospreay and Rey Mysterio. The Japanese field includes Kushida and Hiromu Takahashi, while the American leg will involve Ricochet and Cody Rhodes.

All of these events (bar the German leg) will be taking place on British soil, so UK fans shouldn't miss out on this opportunity to see the world's greatest talent come together to compete for glory.
