Social media lit up minutes after Goldberg had beaten Brock Lesnar at the 2016 Survivor Series. Some hated the brevity of the main event and complained it was poor value. Others didn't see it coming and loved seeing Goldberg batter 'The Beast' like nobody before him.

It was truly one of the most polarising WWE headliners in recent memory.

In just 90 seconds or so, Goldberg had erased all doubts stemming from his prior WWE run and re-established himself as that WCW machine who blasted through opponents. It was a bona fide pleasure for older fans to watch the Goldberg of old on the cusp of entering WWE's most exciting period (WrestleMania season) as a top guy.

Nobody else with the exception of Goldberg could have pulled that Survivor Series match off. The same goes for his 20-second demolition of Kevin Owens to become Universal Champion at Fastlane 2017. Even though, deep down, fans knew it wouldn't last, it was so sweet to see the return of that killer character from yesteryear.
