Only a soothsayer could have predicted that Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar would work together at WrestleMania a full 13 years on from their last bout in 2004. At 'Mania 33 in Orlando, that's exactly what happened. The result must have been cathartic for Goldberg too, because he was able to exorcise some demons.

On WWE's grandest stage, Goldberg and Lesnar produced a visceral blast of a match that achieved more in 5 minutes than Roman Reigns and The Undertaker could in 23. Finally, one of WCW's finest creations had that elusive WrestleMania moment to be proud of, and it can't have mattered to Bill that he'd be the one returning the favour to Brock by coming out on the losing end.

Everyone who works in WWE craves that 'Mania spotlight. Years after it looked like he'd only be remembered for that stinker against Lesnar inside Madison Square Garden, Goldberg got it. That redemption had to taste twice as sweet for a man who had worked tirelessly to get there.
