If you've been keeping an eye on the sports pages, you'll know wrestling will be making an Olympic comeback in Tokyo in 2022. Having done the difficult bit of getting the majority vote of International Olympic Committee members to ensure it stands to fight another day it now needs to ensure it doesn't hit the bum notes once again. The same committee had recommended it be scrapped after assessing its perfomance at the 2012 Games in London, with a statement in February this year appearing to sound the death knell. But a new dawn for British TV professional wrestling could have benefits for its 'real world' cousin. Generations of kids inspired by a constant TV presence for the sport could opt to take it that step further in later years. And in turn their victories on the world stage could only do good for media coverage of both professional and amateur forms of grapple and grunt. In short everybody wins!
