10. The WWE Title Has Been Forgotten & Is Now An Afterthought
The WWE Championship has always been the main focus of story lines on WWE television. The main event of RAW and most pay-per-views usually involves the champion, or the title is on the line. The WWE Champion is usually the most visible face of the company during his reign. We last saw Brock Lesnar at the Night of Champions pay-per-view on September 21st. There has hardly been any mention of him or the WWE title in over 9 weeks. The WWE has come up with ways to shift the focus from the title to other story lines, such as the power struggle between Team Authority and Team Cena at Survivor Series, but this is just a diversionary tactic. WWE programming can only go so long without featuring the champion. As it has been reported, Lesnar is not scheduled to return back to the WWE until December 8th. The WWE needs to use this appearance to set up another rematch for the title between him and John Cena at the TLC PPV. This works out well for the WWE, as they can make the match a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match. This allows us to believe that Cena can beat Lesnar with the help of these stipulations. It also allows Lesnar to still look strong in defeat, as it was not a straight wrestling match. John Cena would go into the new year once again as the WWE Champion, and right in time for the Royal Rumble and the official start to the road to WrestleMania. Cena and the WWE Championship would be seen again every week on RAW and at every pay-per-view, not to mention the numerous live events the WWE runs on a weekly basis. The Championship would once again become the focal point of WWE programming.
