10 Reasons Kevin Nash Deserves To Be In The WWE Hall Of Fame

8. He Was Named Wrestler Of The Year By Pro Wrestling Illustrated In 1995

In 1995, Big Daddy Cool took on all comers as WWE Champion. Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, King Mabel, and Sycho Sid all tangled with the champ, but came up short until Bret stole a victory by playing possum at Survivor Series €™95. That didn€™t change the fact that fans saw fit to reward Diesel with the honor of being named Pro Wrestling Illustrated Wrestler of the Year. He was the man. To be recognized by the kayfabe-friendly magazine is an honor to many wrestlers because the award is voted on by the readers. Bruno Sammartino, Ric Flair, Harley Race, Hulk Hogan, Dusty Rhodes, Bob Backlund, and Jack Brisco have all received the same award. They are also in the Hall of Fame. Looking back, prior to 1995, there are only three other honorees not currently in the WWE Hall of Fame: Mr. Wrestling II, Vader, and Sting. Fans are constantly demanding Sting and Vader€™s inclusion. Nash€™s resume is every bit as good, if not better than theirs.
