10 Reasons King Barrett Is Dead In The Water

7. Barrett Is A Steady Hand, But That Could Work Against Him

Make no mistake about it, Wade Barrett is incredibly talented, and someone WWE higher-ups can definitely rely on to provide them with a lengthy, satisfying match on Pay-Per-View or TV. The former Intercontinental Champion has shown to be one of the more consistent guys under contract, time and time again. For evidence of this, fans need only look at his series of matches against Sheamus on shows such as Superstars, Smackdown and Main Event. Hard-hitting and unrelenting, both men put their all into each encounter, looking to impress their employers by digging in on the 'B' and 'C' shows. This is admirable, but it could actually serve to work against Barrett, with Sheamus being no exception. Scott Hall once said that it was dangerous to become viewed as a 'steady hand' in the eyes of Vince McMahon, because it was difficult to then be viewed as anything else, stifling momentum.
