10 Reasons Macho Man Randy Savage Must Be Inducted To WWE Hall Of Fame 2015
10. All His Greatest Opponents Are Already In There...
Most of the greatest stars that Randy Savage worked with are already Hall of Famers. So it seems very odd indeed for him to be left out. Hall of Famer Ric Flairs greatest achievements were undeniably for WWE rivals like the old NWA and WCW. In fact, his time with WWE was extremely short-lived by comparison. Flairs first WWE run yielded nothing even approaching his glittering success in the NWA/WCW. His best WWE matches by far were against Savage. Likewise, nobody could dispute that Hall of Famer Ricky Steamboats greatest WWE moment occurred against Savage. Hulk Hogans biggest bouts may have been against Andre The Giant, Ultimate Warrior and The Rock, but they certainly werent his best. Hogans best in-ring work came when he faced (you guessed it), Randy Savage. In fact, all of Savages greatest WWE opponents, from Bret Hart to Jake Roberts, Ted DiBiase and beyond, are already in the Hall of Fame. In truth, most of the Hall of Famers of Savages era can claim to have had their greatest WWE moments whilst facing Savage, a man who is not in the Hall. Not only does that make NO SENSE WHATSOEVER, it also insults the legacy of the Macho Man, as well as the intelligence of the fans.
I am a professional author and lifelong comic books/pro wrestling fan. I also work as a journalist as well as writing comic books (I also draw), screenplays, stage plays, songs and prose fiction.
I don't generally read or reply to comments here on What Culture (too many trolls!), but if you follow my Twitter (@heyquicksilver), I'll talk to you all day long!
If you are interested in reading more of my stuff, you can find it on http://quicksilverstories.weebly.com/ (my personal site, which has other wrestling/comics/pop culture stuff on it).
I also write for FLiCK http://www.flickonline.co.uk/flicktion, which is the best place to read my fiction work.
Oh yeah - I'm about to become a Dad for the first time, so if my stuff seems more sentimental than usual - blame it on that!
Finally, I sincerely appreciate every single read I get. So if you're reading this, thank you, you've made me feel like Shakespeare for a day! (see what I mean?)
