If the Las Vegas crowd wasn't already clamouring for the three massive advertised matches to come, it certainly was after this.

The opening match of such a huge event had to be something that would set the tone for the remainder of the evening. Not only did it achieve that feat, it just about stole the show.

The four-way tag team match between champions The New Day and challengers Enzo and Cass, The Vaudevillains and The Club was nothing short of brilliant. All eight men - nine if you include Xavier Woods - brought their A-game and combined for nearly 12 minutes of sensational back-and-forth wrestling.

Pro wrestling is at its best when it adds an element of unpredictability. Although The New Day eventually managed another title defence on the road to setting a new record for longest Team Team Championship reign, it never looked certain to happen until the final bell rang.

Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
