10 Reasons NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 10 Will Be 2016's Best Show
2. Kenny Omega vs. Kushida
Another match that has the potential for match of the night, the Bullet Club's Kenny Omega (nicknamed "Kenny The Cleaner") will take on Kushida for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship. These two have traded the belt a bit over the last 12 months. Just last year at Wrestle Kingdom 9, Omega won the belt in a great match with Ryusuke Taguchi. He went on to lose it to Kushida at the big Dominion event on July 5th. Then, in a rematch at Destruction In Okayama on September 23rd, Omega reclaimed the belt (thanks to outside interference from fellow Bullet Club member Karl Anderson). Omega has been one of the best wrestlers in the world for several years now, having worked across the globe. American fans may have seen him wrestle for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, where he's won the famed Battle of Los Angeles tournament in the past (2009) and held the company's top championship. Omega has also worked Ring Of Honor, as many NJPW stars have. What many may not know is Omega was also once under a WWE developmental deal (2005-2006), working in Deep South Wrestilng, but he ultimately asked for his release to return to wrestling in Japan. Kushida is the reigning 2015 Best Of The Super Junior's Tournament winner in New Japan. Over the past couple of years, he has achieved most of his notoriety as one half of the Time Splitters tag team (with Alex Shelley), which is based off of the Back To The Future movies (notice the Marty McFly jacket on him in the photo above). You can bet that Kushida and Omega want to steal the show this year, and this match between two great junior heavyweights brings back memories of NJPW's great history as the top organization in the world when it comes to junior heavyweights.
