10 Reasons NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 10 Will Be 2016's Best Show

3. Ishii vs. Shibata

New Japan Pro Wrestling is known for it's "strong style" philosophy. What does that mean? It means "working tight" in your matches. Many times, the punches and kicks actually connect. The style brings a sense of realism to the product that American wrestling programs sometimes lack. As far as Wrestle Kingdom 10 goes, no match on the card will embody "strong style" more so than Ishii vs. Shibata. These two are not strangers to each other. They've had fantastic matches in the past, including a match that achieved the rare "5 star" status from the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer back on August 4th, 2013. This time, Ishii and Shibata will face off for the Never Open Weight Title, and it is a trendy pick for match of the night. Ishii comes in as the champion, and Shibata has never held a singles championship in New Japan, despite his debut for the company coming way back in 1999. A title change seems likely here.
