10 Reasons Nobody Should Believe A Word Hulk Hogan Says
3. He Was Offered The Lead Role In The Wrestler
Hulk Hogan is a movie star - nobody can deny that.
His films are all listed on Rotten Tomatoes and are reviewed as followed:
No Hold's Barred -11%, Suburban Commando - 15%, Mr. Nanny - 7%, 3 Ninjas - 0% and 8 other cinematic treasures that critics have apparently yet to review.
Naturally, with his acting gifts and a knack for drawing crowds to his films, Hogan was offered the lead role in Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler.
Although Mickey Rourke went on to take home Golden Globe and BAFTA honours for his turn as Randy "the Ram" Robinson, he wasn't the directors first-choice for the role, according the Hulk.
Upon receiving the script, what he recalls, to have been 'numerous' times, Hogan thought better of accepting the gig and instead allowed it to go to the second-choice Rourke.
When asked how he felt about Hogan declining the offer to play "the Ram', Aronofsky, of course, confirmed that not one script had been sent to Hogwash Hogan.
