6. Fresher Faces

NXT's weekly show has endured several slumps over the past couple of years, usually a result of big names moving up to the main roster and leaving a vacuum of star quality - which is usually slowly filled as new names are pushed to the top of the card.

This could be seen as something of a self-defeating phenomenon; can NXT ever truly maintain momentum when, by its very nature, it is destined to lose its top stars.

On the other hand, this perceived weakness could also be seen as a strength. Yes, NXT often loses big names to Raw and SmackDown, but this constantly allows for new faces to make an impact, thereby lending the product a fresher feel. WWE is often criticised for keeping the same guys on top for far too long - Cena, Orton, etc. have headlined countless PPVs - but TakeOver specials will never have this problem.
