5. The Gimmick Has Legs

Orton had feuds with the likes of Hulk Hogan, Rob Van Dam, Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Sgt. Slaughter, Mick Foley, Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio (for the World Heavyweight Championship) and DX during his first Legend Killer run. Believe it or not, all of those programmes took place over a two year period, a timeframe which also included his run as part of the Rated RKO tag team with Edge. Yet, there's still so much more that WWE could do with this gimmick, and so much more they could bring out of Orton after a couple of stagnant years. Orton has just been "there" in recent times, feuding with his opponents for the sake of feuding with them rather than because of any compelling storylines. Bringing back the Legend Killer would make a statement. Randy is capable of so much more than we've seen recently and the gimmick could reenergise him...
