10 Reasons Randy Orton Must Return To WWE As The Legend Killer
6. If Sheamus Can...
Cast your minds back to the start of 2015. Sheamus was out injured after a prolonged spell of being a boring babyface. The RAW after WrestleMania 31 saw The Celtic Warrior return with a badass new look and a mean attitude. Fast forward a few months and he was one of the top heels in the company, soon had the Money in the Bank briefcase in his possession, then won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship before the year's end. It was quite a turnaround in fortune. All of this happened while Sheamus didn't exactly gain heat for the right reasons. He is not alone. None of the heels in WWE - maybe apart from The Miz - do these days. Towards the end of the year, the Irishman had a modicum of 'X-Pac heat' attached to his name, rather than any sort of genuine hatred from the WWE Universe. The crowd despised him not because he was doing his job well, but because they were bemoaning the decision to have him booked in such a lofty position on the card. Orton, on the other hand, knows how the get proper heel heat, and the Legend Killer schtick simply attracts it by the boat load. Orton is somewhat of a seasoned veteran when it comes to being a heel, he knows that magic formula of avoiding the wrong type of heat and bringing out the desired reaction from an angry WWE Universe.
