10 Reasons Randy Orton's Slow Face Turn Is Best For Business

8. No More Matches With Cena

As the undisputed top stars of the modern era, Randy Orton and John Cena have had dozens and dozens of battles with each other. They most recently met in a hard-fought clash at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, where Cena came out victorious to earn another shot at Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. At this point, the rivalry between the two men has been used far too many times. There's little appetite for Cena and Orton to collide again, with their meetings feeling increasingly symptomatic of a creative team that's out of fresh ideas. Cena and Orton have been the company's top babyface and the top heel respectively for so long that they are the very definition of a stale rivalry. With Orton turning face for the foreseeable future and little prospect of a heel turn for his rival, it could be quite some time before we see the old enemies meet again in the ring. In fact, with Team Cena vs. Team Authority set for Survivor Series on November 23, there's even a chance that Orton could be a surprise addition to his arch enemy's cohort, battling alongside the rival who has defined his career.
