Six-man tag matches have long been a staple of Japanese wrestling. The chaos that is unleashed by having six men go at it in a match is self-explanatory, but it also allows for unique storytelling opportunities. You only have to look at WWE's recent successes with The SHIELD and The Wyatt Family to see that.
Well, now ROH are putting their foot in the ring by introducing their own Six Man Tag Team Championships. The first holders of which are being decided by a tournament which is going on at the moment.
The first match from said tournament took place at All-Star Extravaganza with ACH, Jay White and Kushida victorious over Jay Briscoe, Mark Briscoe and Toru Yano. If the rest of the competition can live up to that controlled chaos, you won’t want to miss it.
