Try as they might, WWE haven't been able to convince the core fan base at large that Roman Reigns is worthy of their support.

Naturally, Reigns does have his fans, but they must be considered the minority. There's no argument to counter that point, the incredibly loud booing each time he appears proves it.

People just don't like Roman, likely feeling he has been hand picked as WWE Champion and then shoved down everyone's throats whether they like it or not. Force-feeding stars isn't a smart move, it only leads to resentment.

That has - rather unfortunately - been the case with Reigns and he's tarnished as top babyface.

WWE's scriptwriters may need to take a different route to try and curry favour from the audience as pertains to Roman. There are several options, and one of them is removing the WWE Title from his grasp.

This would provide motivation for something many legends have been screaming out for all along, probably knowing that becoming a little rougher around the edges is the only way to save Reigns.
