10 Reasons Why Sting Is Hesitant To Join WWE

3. His Age Is A Major Factor

Sting is 55 years old, which means he is older than any active wrestler in WWE. No active wrestler in WWE is over 50. Kane's the oldest performer at 47 years old while Undertaker is 49 years old this year. It's not like WWE is looking to bring in a lot of guys his age. He's an exception only because he's a big name that has never been in WWE before. When he was in TNA the last couple of years, he was competing against guys half his age and he really didn't look that good out there. There were times when he was trying to do his Scorpion Deathlock finishing move and it looked so awful that it was embarrassing. It's not like he's gotten fat or anything like that. It's just that he's not the Stinger that we grew up with. There's a risk on WWE's part when it comes to signing a 55 year old. He's not going to be as durable as other wrestlers, he could get hurt much easier and it may not be worth it to sign a guy to wrestle in just once match. The age factor is a big reason why Sting may not be in WWE yet.
