8. It€™s Another Big Cash Investment With Minimal Return

WWE is already hurting financially with the commercial failure of the WWE Network. They are even wondering if continuing to pay Brock Lesnar an exorbitant amount for minimal working dates is even worth it anymore. And that€™s for a guy who is still in the prime of his career, rather than the twilight. It€™s highly likely that Sting didn€™t come cheap. As a €œlegend€ in the business, Sting should command beaucoup bucks. And while having Sting in a WWE ring is very cool, that kind of moment should be saved for a once-in-a-lifetime event like Wrestlemania. The buyrates and gate for Wrestlemania should more than justify Sting€™s price tag. How much of a hit did WWE take for having Sting appear at a show they were giving away for free?
