10 Reasons That Famous Wrestling Matches Never Happened

9. Stone Cold Vs. Brock Lesnar

The reason we never got to see Stone Cold lock horns with Brock Lesnar was because Austin acted like a "total ass". Those are his words, not ours.

The 'Texas Rattlesnake' was penciled in to lay down for Lesnar at Vengeance 2002 - slap-bang in the middle of 'The Next Big Thing's mega-push to the top of the WWE food chain - but, unimpressed with the plans, he walked out of the company instead.

To be fair, Austin made an interesting point: having such a monumental, earth-shaking result follow two or three weeks of build-up is hardly ideal, and - with hindsight - not having it didn't exactly hurt Lesnar's chances of getting over.

It's too bad, though, that we never got to see the pair of them square off, outside of a fleeting encounter when Austin officiated Brock's WrestleMania XX match with Goldberg.
