10 Reasons That Prove Vince McMahon Is No Longer A Creative Genius

9. Putting Stephanie In Charge Of Creative...For 7 Years!

Vince McMahon erred when he expanded the writing team to such a large pool of writers, but made matters worse when he put his daughter in charge of it.

Back in 2002, Stephanie was promoted from an account executive (sales) to the Director of Creative Television. She was in that position for four years until being promoted to Senior VP of Creative Writing, then shortly afterwards Executive VP of Creative Development & Operations, where she lasted until 2013. Is it a coincidence that WWE's creative quality took a significant drop around 2002 and remained there ever since? Is it merely a coincidence that WWE's peak era of ratings and quality TV ended in 2002?

The simple fact is that Stephanie McMahon was not qualified to be put in charge of Creative and her (lack of) results proved as much.

What's worse is that Vince left Stephanie in the Creative division for over a decade. Vince's motivation of not wanting to leave egg on the face of his daughter for her failures on the Creative Team is understandable, which is why she was quietly moved to the newly-created title of Chief Brand Officer in 2013.

Stephanie's a great talent as a heel, and has many of her father's traits. Unfortunately, leading Creative is not one of them.
