10 Reasons That Prove Vince McMahon Is No Longer A Creative Genius

7. Getting Over No Longer Matters

Many former talents and writers of WWE have spoken about a time when the primary goal was for the WWE superstars to get over at nearly any cost.

Writers wrote for the talents to get over, and the talents executed their matches, promos, and any other opportunity with the main intention of getting over with the crowd.

Unfortunately, nowadays, getting over only proves beneficial to certain talents on the roster. There have been numerous talents that have gotten over without the help of WWE's writing team or higher-ups, and the company has refused to help them. Not only has Vince McMahon and his team refused to help their talents in creating additional opportunities for said talents to improve their standing, often times the company seems to sabotage the wrestler's value and seemingly punishes them for all of their efforts.

While talents like Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, and Sheamus are given opportunity after opportunity to get over despite struggling to do so, other talents like Zack Ryder, Damien Sandow, Ryback, Cody Rhodes, Cesaro and others were constantly shuffled down the card despite generating organic reactions and support from the crowd.

Politics in wrestling is nothing new, but Vince McMahon has allowed it to become the driving force of his business. It's no longer an unfortunate side-effect of the business, it's now running the business. Had things been this bad in another decade, Bret Hart would've probably remained in a tag-team his entire career, Austin 3:16 would'e been a mere footnote in WWE histor, and CM Punk would've probably quit WWE by now.

Oh wait...
