10 Reasons The Undertaker Shouldn't Retire At WWE WrestleMania 32
7. A Weak Lead In To Mania 32
On paper, The Undertaker's farewell tour was everything that it should have been - a series of big matches and a retrospective on his career. Yet it ended up being a complete dud, mainly due to the silliness of Bray Wyatt "kidnapping" him before Survivor Series. From that point, the story wasn't taken seriously, and it then ended up being massively overshadowed by the vacant WWE Title situation. Not only that, but in the storyline prior to the Wyatt one, Undertaker was a semi-heel who regularly dished out low blows to Brock Lesnar. The confused narrative of the past six months has undermined what WWE were trying to do with the career retrospective. On paper it looks like they have been building up to a farewell, but the creative has been so weak that it is going to end up being a pretty lame narrative to bow out on. WWE and Taker should do a reset, have another farewell run next year, this time without soft heel turns and silly kidnapping angles.
