8. The Creative Is Weak

Great WrestleMania main events are built on strong creative, such as Royal Rumble wins or personal journeys. They aren't built on low blows and screwy finishes. SummerSlam set another Taker Lesnar match up, but it did so in a weak fashion. The ref missing Lesnar's tap, then missing the low blow, then Lesnar losing by passing out... it isn't the sort of creative that epic Mania main events are built on. Yes, it does lead to another match, but not an A-show match. It should be a B show, or a B+ show like Survivor Series or Royal Rumble. There's unfinished business, but there isn't Mania proportioned business to be done from the story told at SummerSlam.
