Sheamus assaulted the sh*t out of Big E. A kayfabe injury has knocked him off the roster for the time being. The Big E who returns might be a very different fella.

Even if he's not, his current momentum is exciting stuff. As a solo performer, he's already clarified what seasoned wrestling fans knew about him all along: He has all the makings of a top draw.

For a while, the wish among many was that E would break out of New Day by turning heel, thus changing his character full swing. Given that there are an adequate number of heels, and a few decent turns already in the biz, the smarter thing would be to book him as a credible baby face, with an open road to championship glory ahead.

They seem to be staying the course on this. Big E is larger than life, and these past few months may have been the most important of his career. The future for him is bright, and we're all coming along for the ride. Don't fail us WWE!
