10 Reasons To Be Excited About The Rest Of 2020 In WWE
3. The Return Of NXT UK
As WWE platforms go, NXT UK took more than its share of damage in 2020.
The global situation ensured that the platform hasn't even held a show since the beginning of April. In the midst of its hiatus, certain members of the roster were dismissed in relation to allegations pertaining to the #SpeakingOut movement.
A lot has changed, but the brand is set for an imminent return... in theory. Let's note that the prospect is subject to change, as are the rules of restrictions in the UK at present. The initial date was pencilled in for September 17. So far, that appears to still be going ahead, albeit in a hushed arena.
This of course, takes us nicely to TakeOver: Dublin, which was postponed from April 26 and will be held October 25. All going to plan, there will be just about enough time to give the PPV some adequate build up during NXT UK's weekly programming.
Looks like there's hope for the brand yet. Hopefully Vince will see it that way too.
