10 Reasons To Be Excited About Wrestle Kingdom 11
6. Kamaitachi
Hiromu Takahashi left New Japan in 2013 in order to go out into the big scary world of wrestling and find himself. Turns out the Takahashi he found is weird as f*ck but also immensely talented.
His matches in CMLL taught him the lucha style which will be the perfect ingredient to add to the junior division, and his Wrestle Kingdom 11 match could not only be show-stealing, but could set Takahashi on the path of a dominant IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion. Like I said, the man formerly known as Kamaitchi is out there, hence the weird belt licking, but it just so happens he's found a group that embraces weirdness as long as it's brandished along with serious disrespect.
LIJ's newest member could be a key player in 2017 and that all starts with his first marquee match with the ultimate babyface Kushida. Ospreay, Ricochet, Kyle O'Reilly: those are all confrontations for later, but rest assured, Kamaitachi won't leave Wrestle Kingdom without making a statement.
