10 Reasons To Be Excited About WWE NXT Takeover 2

2. Main Roster Ramifications

If you€™re still not convinced because you can€™t be bothered to watch NXT every week (what€™s wrong with you?) and only care about what happens on Raw from week to week, you should still be excited for Takeover 2, because several matches on the card have some serious main roster implications. The fact is that all the title matches outcomes could be the first steps to some new talent making their way to Raw in the coming months. It wouldn€™t be surprising to see Neville drop the title to clear the way for his full time main roster debut. His showing on Raw this past Monday only accentuated the possibility, and lord knows the WWE could use the excitement his unique abilities would provide on the main roster. Charlotte could also be main roster bound if she were to lose to Bayley. She€™s a great athlete, the Divas division needs more competent performers and her dad could be paired with her on a weekly basis if she was brought to TV. The Ascension moving on up to Raw is also a possibility, given that they€™ve been teasing an ascension to Raw and a feud with the current WWE Tag Team Champions, The Usos. If they were to surprisingly be defeated by Kalisto and Sin Cara, it could signify that the WWE is calling them up to bolster their tag team division. The point is that several competitors at Takeover 2 could be main roster bound in the coming months and you should watch so you can say you saw them before they make their debuts.
