10 Reasons To Believe CM Punk Will Never Return To WWE

2. WWE Won't Ask Him To Return

When an employee 'takes his ball and goes home', you tend not to go out of your way to try and get him back. Stone Cold Steve Austin was the one to go crawling back to Vince McMahon after his 2002 walkout, while names like Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan took years to rebuild their professional and personal relationships with the WWE chairman. When CM Punk walked out in January of this year, backstage news was that the situation was worsening by the day, and that the mood around Punk's leaving had soured incredibly so. McMahon has reportedly given up all hope of possibly getting the 'Straight Edge Superstar' back into the WWE, with his contract now officially up and his profile being treated as a 'WWE alumnus'. It may seem harsh to have let things pan out this way, but on WWE's side of things, they managed to get some good out of an awful situation. Daniel Bryan finally got a push to the main event, and though he may be injured, his return will surely be one of the most anticipated of all time. The likes of Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Cesaro are all getting huge programs to work with, and everyone in NXT is working harder and better in the knowledge that there's a big spot in the main event that needs filling. WWE have catered their whole position around the idea of getting the best out of one of their most popular stars walking out on them, and it's likely that they have not got a care in the world for him.
