The term Diva is notorious for having a very negative connotation. It suggests a fluff character, a personality that is all about the image and nothing more. Indeed, a Diva in the modern day WWE is more of a fashion model and reality TV star than a credible performer in the ring. The same cannot be said of Trish Stratus, who was all business all the time. When the bell rang, she brought everything she had and she did so with all the professionalism of her male counterparts. Her ring work and the respect she earned while being at the top of the women's division put her in a class by herself. Trish had a work ethic that any man in the WWE locker room would have been hard pressed to match. She worked very hard to get over and to ensure that her matches stood out from the rest. When fans watched her in the ring, they were not seeing a great Divas match, they were seeing a great wrestling match and that is proof of just how different she was. While many Divas today seem complacent with their shallow roles and hollow personalities, Trish had much more going for her.
