10 Reasons UFC Should Re-Sign WWE Champion Brock Lesnar
10. The UFC Heavyweight Division Is Weaker Than Ever
Make no mistake, despite the dominance of Cain Velasquez, who took Lesnar's belt in the first place, and talented fighters like Junior Dos Santos and Fabricio Werdum, the UFC heavyweight division is weaker than ever. Who would have expected that, after the promotion acquired Strikeforce and their impressive stable of heavyweights a couple of years back? However, since then, Daniel Cormier, their top heavyweight, has dropped down a weight class to avoid fighting team mate Velasquez, Alistair Overeem has turned into a bust since the Lesnar fight, Bigfoot Silva has proven overrated, and Josh Barnett has been fairly inactive. On top of that, UFC vets like Big Nog and Frank Mir have reached the end of their shelf life, while Stefan Struve has struggled with his health. In fact, the only upside to the Strikeforce pick-up seems to be former UFC cast-off Fabricio Werdum, who has developed as a fighter and is now set to challenge for Velasquez's belt. How thin is heavyweight? Mark Hunt, as much as we love him, has jumped into the top five based on a single win. The division could use a boost.
