10 Reasons Vince McMahon Needs To Retire By Year’s End

3. Triple H Has Been Doing A Fantastic Job

In the last two years, the attitudes of IWC members towards Triple H have shifted considerably. Whereas he was once demonized for €˜burying€™ wrestlers he didn€™t like, he is now praised for his ability to run and produce a wrestling program in NXT. This has not only led to fan speculation on Triple H replacing Vince, but there have also been (heated) agreements between Triple H and Vince over creative issues. There has been numerous criticisms towards Vince€™s direction, which in turn has led to Triple H taking a radically different approach towards NXT. While Vince looks at RAW and SmackDown from his own traditional viewpoint (which hasn€™t changed much in years), Triple H looks at NXT from a wrestler€™s perspective, which brings an entirely new dynamic to how the show is structured. The runaway success of the NXT specials have truly brought this different to light. Fans adore Triple H€™s NXT, which has long-running feuds, shorter yet more relevant promos, a reasonable commentary team that calls the matches (quite the novelty, right?), and most importantly, a show centered on telling stories through wrestling, instead of stories being told with wrestling matches featured on the side. Furthermore, Triple H could arguably be considered a better leader because of what he has accomplished with Hall of Famers. Many believe that Triple H was the catalyst in convincing Bruno Sammartino, the Ultimate Warrior and the family of €˜Macho Man€™ Randy Savage to come back after years/decades of strained relations with WWE and especially Vince himself. This is arguably because Triple H is looking at these legends from a business perspective, while Vince still has his old grudges. If Vince can€™t move forward, abandon his rivalries and forgive and forget, he should retire, and leave the company to his son-in-law.
