10 Reasons Why 2022 Is Already Wrestling's Most Insane Year EVER

9. Johnny Knoxville Wrestling IC Champs

WWE's obsession with celeb crossovers is nothing new. Vince McMahon has been slinging cold hard cash at musicians/actors/reality stars etc since the 1980s, so Johnny Knoxville entering the Royal Rumble for some quick media attention made more sense than most would care to admit.

Knoxville working for the Intercontinental Title though? Madness.

It looks like that's about to happen. JK's main WWE beef thus far has been with one Sami Zayn, and the delusional heel just won the IC belt from Shinsuke Nakamura during recent SmackDown tapings. So, in other words, Knoxville could be set to challenge Zayn for that prize at WrestleMania 38.

This is bizarre for multiple reasons, not least because the Jackass man obviously can't work a lick. He'd also be "wrestling" a match on the same stage that once housed IC classics like Steamboat vs. Savage and a ladder epic between Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon.

Let that sink in for a sec.
