While the idea that only guys bred by WWE will become top dogs has been somewhat broken with the title reigns of Daniel Bryan and Seth Rollins, the fact remains that Vince McMahon much prefers investing in youthful, promising athletes that have the potential to be on the roster for 10+ years. Thanks to the success of guys like Bryan, Rollins and Kevin Owens, it's obvious the company has realised it's much easier to bring in middle-aged (in terms of wrestling careers) indy guys with years of in-ring experience rather than train failed NFL aspirants - who would€™ve thought it? However, it still doesn't change the fact that Styles is at the bottom of the pecking order, and given it will take a number of years for him to resonate with the vast majority of WWE's fans - those who couldn't give a rat's cloaca about the indies and TNA - Styles is pushing the age boundary.
