Bryan loved to perform high-flying moves at 100 miles an hour. It got him to the top, and he used it to keep him there until injury struck him down. Each time he returned from one of his numerous injuries, fans were expecting to see a very different Daniel Bryan to anything they had seen in a WWE ring before. It was expected that Bryan would focus more on mat wrestling, and eliminate a lot of the high flying moves from his attack. That never happened, and the huge bumps kept coming. They eventually caught up to him. There's absolutely no doubting that many within WWE will have asked Bryan to change his arsenal as his proverbial body clock wore on, something he obviously refused. In hindsight, I'm sure Bryan is wondering what he would be doing now if he did change, instead of repeating the moves outlined in this article that significantly contributed to the injuries that ultimately ended his career at the age of 34. I think I speak on behalf of the entire WWE Universe when I say I'm glad he didn't change, and we got the Daniel Bryan we all fell in love with right up until the day he was forced to call it a day. We got 100% Bryan till the very end, and anything else simply wouldn't have been as good. Us wrestling fans are selfish, aren't we? Thanks for the memories, Dan.
