10 Reasons Why November Always Sucked In WCW

10. WCW Tried To Promote Feud With Redundant TV Show

By November, 2000, World Championship Wrestling was seriously on the ropes. Attendances were at embarrassing levels, and everything else - from TV ratings and PPV revenue - was in the toilet. The promotion was looking for anything which might glean some mainstream attention, or help turn the sinking ship back in the right direction. For that very reason, the cast of Battle Dome were invited to partake in a cross-promotional storyline. For those not in the know, Battle Dome was a TV show which lifted ideas from the likes of American Gladiators. The 'Warriors' (as they were known) were all overblown, pro wrestling style characters. They were pretty much all buff males. All of this combined to make WCW think they'd be perfect for Nitro. Sitting at ringside, the cast started heckling Diamond Dallas Page. The wrestler was cutting a promo inside the ring, and he decided to enlist the likes of Buff Bagwell, The Cat and Rick Steiner to deal with the troublemakers. The result was a tepid brawl, one which made it clear that the Battle Dome boys were definitely not pro wrestlers. The idea was not popular with the fans, and ended up coming to nothing in the end anyway.
