10 Reasons Why People Who Hate WWE Hate WWE

6. "Wins And Losses Don't Matter."

So sayeth the Road Dogg earlier this year - but he was only parroting the deliriously stupid company line.

The mentality in the company is that wins and losses don't matter - not to the internal logic of the shows, nor to the betterment of a performer's career. Meanwhile, in the same breath, we are asked to buy into Asuka's awesome winning streak because winning several consecutive matches in credible fashion has elevated her into an über-credible force. We respond enthusiastically because the resulting stakes behind her matches are major. Every Asuka match feels like a big deal - as opposed to most matches on RAW and SmackDown, and even pay-per-view, which are fought between a performer the company is pushing, often tentatively, and a performer they have lost or have no interest in. The former soon becomes the latter, and the latter soon becomes the former, and on the merry-go-round we remain.

This mentality fosters apathy. Why bother?

Why bother making a personal investment in the careers of Erick Rowan and Luke Harper, if history has taught us that it's pointless?
