10 Reasons Why Roman Reigns Is ‘Best For Business’

4. Reigns Probably Has The Most Drawing Potential Of Any Young Star In WWE Right Now...

If handled correctly, Roman Reigns can be Goldberg for a new generation. No, he€™ll never be a great scientific wrestler, but he CAN be a major drawing card €“ which is definitely more important to the business as a whole right now, a business that DESPERATELY needs to create new stars. Those fans sick of €˜The Cena Show€™, frankly, should be welcoming the change. Over the last few years, the WWE Championship has bounced back and forth between returning veterans, barely-there part timers, injury plagued future superstars and, um, John Cena €“ all to differing effect. What has not emerged €“ Cena€™s best efforts included €“ is a solid gold, 24-carat main event money machine, the kind that Roman Reigns could definitely be. Of course, Daniel Bryan is still the man with the most potential to succeed as champion, but he may well find that WWE creative€™s enthusiasm for him has dampened somewhat since his injury. He also wrestles in a high risk, high impact style that could easily leave him injured again after he broke his neck last year. Could D-Bry still do the job? Absolutely. Will he get the chance? That remains to be seen. What WWE needs, then, is a new star, someone with the impact of The Undertaker and the charisma of The Rock. Its embryonic, but we are now starting to see that in Roman Reigns.

I am a professional author and lifelong comic books/pro wrestling fan. I also work as a journalist as well as writing comic books (I also draw), screenplays, stage plays, songs and prose fiction. I don't generally read or reply to comments here on What Culture (too many trolls!), but if you follow my Twitter (@heyquicksilver), I'll talk to you all day long! If you are interested in reading more of my stuff, you can find it on http://quicksilverstories.weebly.com/ (my personal site, which has other wrestling/comics/pop culture stuff on it). I also write for FLiCK http://www.flickonline.co.uk/flicktion, which is the best place to read my fiction work. Oh yeah - I'm about to become a Dad for the first time, so if my stuff seems more sentimental than usual - blame it on that! Finally, I sincerely appreciate every single read I get. So if you're reading this, thank you, you've made me feel like Shakespeare for a day! (see what I mean?) Latcho Drom, - CQ
