10 Reasons Why Roman Reigns Must Return As A Heel
4. A Blood Feud With Dean Ambrose
WWE's insistence on pushing Roman Reigns as a top babyface has made the star hated, but one thing that's rubbed salt in the fans' wounds is that Dean Ambrose - whom the WWE Universe absolutely loves - often finds himself in the role of Reigns's sidekick. "The Lunatic Fringe" has had his buddy's back for programs with The Authority and The Wyatt Family, but when Ambrose is left to his own devices he typically picks up more losses than wins.
Not only would turning Reigns heel sever that part of their relationship, but it would start a long and heated feud between the two men that, if handled properly, could put Ambrose on even footing with Reigns once and for all. A brutal program - whether for the WWE Championship or not - spanning several pay-per-views and stipulation matches would be fresh and exciting, and would really give fans a babyface around whom they can rally.
The best part, as far as WWE would be concerned, is that Reigns doesn't even need to lose in the end. If he goes over due to some chicanery, Ambrose looks like the better man and Reigns is even more hated as a heel.
