10 Reasons Why Seth Rollins Vs. Triple H Feud Makes Perfect Sense

10. Seth Rollins Retired Sting When Triple H Couldn't

When Sting shockingly arrived in WWE at the tail end of 2014, he had only one goal in mind: to annihilate The Authority. Once he helped Dolph Ziggler oust them out of power (albeit temporarily), he immediately made an enemy out of Triple H, and it wasn't long before they were on a collision course for an epic encounter at WrestleMania 31.

Triple H made it quite clear en route to The Show of Shows that he was determined to eradicate Sting's presence from the WWE Universe. When he soundly defeated him at WrestleMania, it seemed as if he was successful in doing just that, especially since it was believed to be Sting's sole match with the company. Mere months later, however, Sting resurfaced and set his sights on fellow Authority member Seth Rollins' WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

He gave 'The Man' a heck of a fight of Night of Champions but ultimately fell short of winning the gold. Not only was he unsuccessful on that evening, the Stinger also suffered a serious neck injury that took him out of action indefinitely. It was unknown whether he would ever return to the ring, and as he revealed during his Hall of Fame speech over WrestleMania weekend, he has officially retired from active competition as a result of the injuries.

Both Triple H and Rollins were able to beat The Icon, but it was Rollins who went the extra mile in (unintentionally) putting him on the shelf for good. That should surely be eating away at The Game on the inside.
