10 Reasons Why Sting vs. Seth Rollins Is Bad For Business
7. Because You Could Make An Angle Of Giving Seth Rollins The Night Off
Again, Night of Champions is a throwaway show. Yes, the show is titled "Night of Champions," but that doesn't mean that the World Champion has to wrestle. What if the idea were to say, have Seth Rollins claim that he didn't want to see his statue at Raw, but instead see it at the PPV, where he wouldn't be wrestling. Then, at the PPV, have the unexplained Sting reveal and drop down the Hell in the Cell cage to end the show. Rollins taking Night of Champions off would allow the company to potentially do something intriguing like a longer two-out-of-three falls match with Kevin Owens and Cesaro, with the winner earning a shot at Ryback's Intercontinental Championship. Or, what about maybe kickstarting the Divas Tag Team Championship with a one-night tournament? Sting in the main event instead? Bad idea.
