10 Reasons Why Vince McMahon Will NEVER Shake Off The WWE ‘Stigma’

3. His Tastes

Not that he'd ever contemplate such a thing, but is it possible Vince McMahon hasn't made a success of anything else beyond wrestling because people don't care for his visions of the things they already like?

It's a big enough problem in the one thing he already does really well! During a fascinating podcast interview, ex-WWE writer Tom Casiello spoke about the intriguing AJ Lee/CM Punk/Daniel Bryan love triangle of 2012 noting that Lee's brief illogical tryst with Kane was entirely driven by McMahon's fascination with the dated character.

'The Big Red Machine' was the focussed performer in one of WWE Films' highest profile ventures too. By-the-numbers horror flick 'See No Evil' was a modest commercial success at the box office and via DVD sales, but was savaged by critics for its lightweight content. Writing for WWE at the time, Dan Madigan was tasked with crafting something workable as a plot for the film but encountered yet more McMahon insanity when Vince insisted Kane's character Jacob Goodnight had a three foot penis.

The impossibly stupid suggestion didn't make the cut, but plenty more did. Just as they did with the gimmicks in the WBF, the out-there rules within the XFL or the excessive Kid Rock on pay-per-view soundtracks.
