10 Reasons Why WWE 2014 Was The Year Of Seth Rollins

5. Going Unpinned For Eight Straight Months

One of the more impressive stats of Seth Rollins' 2014 that often goes unnoticed is how he wasn't pinned for eight straight months. That's not to say he didn't lose any matches from January to August of this year, because he did. However, in his various losses to The Wyatt Family in six-man tag team action earlier in the year, he was never the one pinned. Although he came up short in singles matches against Batista, John Cena and Chris Jericho, they were all by way of count-out or disqualification. Therefore, Rollins was the best booked wrestler of 2014 and most people didn't even notice. It wasn't until the August 4 edition of Raw that Rollins' undefeated streak of sorts was officially snapped in a Beat the Clock Challenge match at the hands of... Heath Slater. Yes, Heath Slater was the one to hand Rollins his first singles defeat via pinfall since his loss to CM Punk on the December 30, 2013 Raw. And, of course, WWE capitalize on this whatsoever since Slater was back to being an enhancement talent the very next week. Nevertheless, WWE has continued to book Rollins strongly since with minimal pinfall losses, making him one of their only credible heels.
