10 Reasons Why WWE 2014 Was The Year Of Seth Rollins

6. One Of The Longest Tenured Entrants In The Royal Rumble Match

Going into this year's Royal Rumble pay-per-view, The Shield was embroiled in a feud with CM Punk. Punk was forced to enter the Rumble match at No. 1 thanks to The Authority, so it was no surprise that Seth Rollins just so happened to draw No. 2. The former Ring of Honor stars battled it out in the beginning before going on to last nearly the entire match. Both Superstars had strong showings throughout by eliminating the likes of The Great Khali, Rey Mysterio, Rusev and others. Rollins had more of an advantage than anyone else with his Shield cohorts helping him out with eliminations. However, it wasn't long before Dean Ambrose attempted to eliminate fellow Shield stablemate Roman Reigns, causing Reigns to throw out both Ambrose and Rollins shortly thereafter. By the time he was eliminated, Rollins' total time in the matchup was 48 minutes and 31 seconds, making him the second longest tenured entrant in the contest. Punk barely outlasted him by a mere 41 seconds.
