It seems as though Dean Ambrose is WWE's new whipping boy, building him up only to knock him down at the last hurdle time and time again. This is the fourth time Dean Ambrose has lost a match with WWE Championship implications in under a year, having been disqualified against Seth Rollins, losing to Roman Reigns in the final of a tournament and being the last eliminated in the Royal Rumble beforehand. It's made worse by the fact Ambrose was given a lot of air time on the Raw shows before Fastlane. Having interrupted a Brock Lesnar promo to get in The Beast's face before later receiving an F5 and begging for more the following week, Reigns was well and truly taking a backseat to his best buddy. In interactions between the two best friends, Dean even exuded a confidence that he hadn't shown in previous meetings with Reigns. It's no secret that Dean Ambrose is universally loved; you'd be hard-pressed to find many WWE fans of any demographic that dislike Ambrose. His popularity is unquestionable and there is no doubt he would be backed 100% going into the main event of WrestleMania with that elusive WWE Championship on the line. Instead, Ambrose did the duties to Roman Reigns once again, receiving a spear before being pinned to allow Reigns a casual stroll into the spotlight once again. There's only so many times you can let an over baby face character come close and fall short without fans beginning to revolt. Given the reaction to Fastlane, the revolt is already taking place.
Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
